The City of Port Coquitlam is currently seeking a positive, energetic and customer focused, individual to work in our Development Services Department as the Customer Service Representative - Development Engineering. Reporting to the Manager of Development Engineering, the incumbent will perform a variety of customer service tasks to variety of customers. This part time position is a temporary and anticipated to continue for a period of eight months.





Some of the key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:




Provide information and assistance by responding to inquiries from a variety of customers, including members of the public, contractors, professionals and internal staff Prepares and maintains a variety of correspondence, files, and reports; and compiles information, statistics, communication materials and other documents related to the work




The successful candidate for this position will have:




You are an administrative whiz with thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation supplemented by post-secondary courses in business communications You have at least six months experience with cash handling, point of sale systems or have successfully completed a basic bookkeeping course You have a typing speed of at least 45accurate wpm You have strong Microsoft Office skills You have the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels of the organization You have exceptional customer service skills with at least two years' experience in a customer service role that has been supplemented with conflict resolution training You exude positive energy and believe that anything is possible
