$17.20-$18.50 per hour depending on experience

Variable hours depending on business needs, 15-30 hours per week

The Old Ottawa South Community Association (OSCA) is dedicated to building a healthy, active, and engaged community by providing services, programs, and events to residents of Old Ottawa South. OSCA operates out of the old "Firehall" as a service delivery partner for the City of Ottawa. OSCA's passionate team of staff and volunteers are committed to making OOS a pleasant, fulfilling, and meaningful place to live.

We are currently seeking talented front desk staff to join our team. This is an ideal role for anyone looking to contribute to a not-for-profit, community-minded organization. Customer Service Representatives will report to the Customer Service Supervisor and work closely with a team of staff to ensure a high quality of service and communication to clients and community members.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to customer inquiries about programs, special events and services available to them, both in person, over the telephone and via e-mail. Provide answers/information or follow up with customers if information isn't available. Ensure the ongoing organization and tidiness of the Front Desk and lobby at the Firehall. Help to resolve any customer issues that arise throughout the building during each shift, including ensuring adequate and timely communication between City of Ottawa facility staff and other OSCA staff. Accept and process program registrations and membership requests, transfers, refunds, merchandise, and payment transactions. Advise patrons of policies such as those pertaining to refunds, financial assistance, payment methods, facility hours. Resolve customer complaints and problems to the patron's satisfaction; refer patrons to appropriate other staff when necessary. Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned or as required by changing business requirements or needs of the community.
Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (working with the public in a customer service role) Completion of High School Strong communication skills and attention to detail Self-directed and able to adapt to changing priorities as situations arise Comfortable using a payment processing system (no cash-handling required), and experience with registration management software is an asset Standard First Aid & CPR C
