At the City of Airdrie, we learn, grow and accomplish great things together.If you have a passion for building a better community and are ready to join the excitement, we'd love to hear from you!The Opportunity:The Culture and Events Services Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service across various touchpoints including the box office, front of house, and during all scheduled productions. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall experience of patrons visiting the Bert Church LIVE Theatre.Responsibilities include:

  • Assist patrons with ticket purchases, season passes, gift certificates, exchanges, and inquiries both in person and over the phone
  • Process ticket sales accurately through the theatre's ticketing system
  • Provide information regarding showtimes, seating arrangements, accessibility options, and any other relevant details
  • Provide exceptional front line customer service for all residents, patrons, and clients and ensure phone calls and email correspondence is managed promptly and courteously
  • Accurately perform cash transactions, cash outs, and reconcile till balances at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records by entering relevant information into the database with meticulous attention to detail
  • Open and close the facility, assist with monitoring area usage, and assist with facility set-ups and take-downs
  • Handle patron feedback, comments, and complaints with empathy and efficiency, escalating issues to leadership when necessary
  • Communicate and maintain professional and friendly relationships with internal departments and external customers
  • Record and file event outcomes in the front of house reports
  • Execute facility client walkthroughs before and after each event
  • Perform light janitorial duties, including refilling supplies during events
  • Lead or assist in all facility emergencies, including evacuations and be willing and able to perform CPR
  • Support all co-workers and perform other administrative duties as required
You Bring:
  • Post-secondary education, certificate, or diploma in administration or a related field an asset
  • Current Standard First Aid - Level C CPR and AED certification
  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience
  • Minimum six (6) months of ticket software and ticket selling experience would be considered an asset
  • Cash handling experience
  • Previous experience in theatre and events would be considered an asset
  • Experience and comfort with computer software programs is required for this position, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passion for the arts and theatre and a genuine interest in providing exceptional service to patrons
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional patron service
  • Ability to demonstrate maturity and responsibility
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Adapt well in an ever changing and diverse environment
