Dent Bay Baking Company produces Artisan handmade sourdough breads and craft pastries. With a commitment to seasonal ingredients sourced from local farmers and growers, Dent Bay Baking offers naturally leavened sourdough and specialty baked goods utilizing whole and heritage grains grown organically under sustainable farming practices throughout the region

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Front of House position provides excellent customer service, processes orders, and maintains a clean and organized front-of-house area.

- Front of house team is expected to greet customers, navigate transactions, and assist in restocking bakery products, start of day prep and turn-down wrap up, contributing to the smooth operation of the bakery's front-of-house activities.

PERSONAL QUALITIES AND SKILLS

- Interest in baking and food

- Product knowledge: understanding the bakery's products, including ingredients and preparation methods

- Friendly and approachable: Being warm and welcoming helps create a positive atmosphere

- Good communication skills

- Attention to detail

- Team player

- Basic math skills

- Punctuality and reliability

EXPERIENCE

- Knowledge of food handling and food safety procedures

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent customer service skills

- Experience with sourdough baking a bonus!

- Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen environment a bonus!
