Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. The ideal candidate will be reliable, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

We are currently seeking a permanent part-time individual as we cannot guarantee full-time hours. The successful candidate may be offered a full-time position in the future. The candidate must be available to work any shift from Tuesday to Friday 9 am to 6:30 pm and Saturday 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Duties

Prepare and serve deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches according to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately. Handle cash and perform cash handling duties with attention to detail. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. Experience with POS systems is preferred. Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is preferred. Previous experience in a restaurant or deli setting is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.
