Summary
JRoss Retail Recruiters is working with Source for Sports (Sports Distributors of Canada Ltd.) to identify an enthusiastic Customer Service & Data Associate. Reporting to the Digital & E-Commerce Manager, this hybrid position is an integral part of the Source for Sports Marketing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting website sales and service, ensuring both customers and store locations experience timely responses and a positive brand interaction. While the primary focus is customer service, this role also encompasses responsibilities related to product data management and content curation for assortments featured on SourceforSports.ca (Canada) and SourceforHockey.com (USA).
This hybrid position requires four days per week working from home and one day per week in the Burlington office, unless otherwise requested. It is ideally suited to an individual who demonstrates excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, organizational acumen, and a genuine affinity for the sporting goods and retail environment.

Description
Customer Service Responsibilities (Primary)
Serve as the first point of contact for all customer service inquiries, with an emphasis on e-commerce support.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions and provide timely customer feedback.
Support smooth website operations by assisting with order adjustments, cancellations, refunds, and returns, while addressing complaints through phone and email.
Provide support to store staff regarding order management processes and procedures.
Respond to inquiries related to product availability.
Contribute to process analysis and recommend improvements.
Assist in onboarding and training new members of the Customer Service team.
Attend regular meetings with the Digital & E-Commerce Manager to discuss initiatives.
Provide bilingual support in English and French across all customer service activities.
Data Responsibilities (Secondary)
Curate and catalogue product descriptions for SourceforSports.ca by season and category.
Collaborate with Marketing and Data teams to ensure site accuracy.
Write SEO-rich product descriptions and upload seasonal product content within strict deadlines.
Manage data within the PIM platform, including product details, pricing, categories, and hierarchy.
Oversee product accuracy, content integrity, and promotional execution.
Troubleshoot data issues, manage product images, and coordinate translation requests when required.
Other Tasks
Participate in the vendor buying process to gain insight into marketing direction and new product launches.
Support semi-annual store owner buying shows with marketing content.
Redirect sponsorship requests to local stores as needed.
Requirements
Passion for sports and retail.
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, or Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong writing and editing skills with flawless grammar and spelling.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across internal teams and store networks.
Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and project management capabilities.
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Analytical thinker and effective problem solver.
Experience with Photoshop, Adobe programs, or CMS platforms is an asset.
3-5 years of customer service experience, ideally with a ticketing system.
Familiarity with e-commerce and sporting goods considered an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with flawless grammar and spelling in English.
