Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle various customer inquiries effectively.

Duties

Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Engage in upselling and merchandising to enhance the customer shopping experience. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including stocking shelves and managing inventory. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Utilize retail math skills for accurate pricing, discounts, and sales reporting. Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for customers. Proficient in cash handling and basic math for accurate transactions. Experience in retail sales with knowledge of grocery store operations preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; bilingual skills are a plus. Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product displays. Supervising experience is beneficial for leading team efforts effectively.
