Fruitful Market is a kitchen and cafe empowering self-care and vibrancy through healthy food and community. We offer an inclusive, respectful and friendly work environment. We are looking for someone to join our team full-time (4-5 shifts/approximately 36-42 hours per week).

The position offers a base pay range of $18-24/hr plus tips, which are fairly predictable and average around $5/hr bringing the pay range to $23-29/hr including the tip out, depending on experience. Full-time employees are also granted an annual $750 per year Health Spending Account after 3 months to cover their choice of eligible health benefits. There is a free meal with each shift and store discounts.

Responsibilities include:

Serving customers in a warm and friendly way

Assembling sandwiches, smoothies and other food items as necessary

Making espresso drinks

Maintaining a clean and organized environment including cleaning and washing dishes

Putting away deliveries, stocking shelves and maintaining an organized and attractive storefront

Other responsibilities as needed.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

Friendly and respectful of others

Reliable and committed

Scheduling flexibility and open availability including full weekend availability, and can work both opening shifts starting as early as 630am and closing shifts ending as late as 930pm.

Loves learning about food and is interested to be trained to use our equipment and our methods of preparation.

Can lift up to 50 pounds and be on their feet for extended periods of time.

Diligent about following established operating procedures and recipes.

Is a team player and will take on any task that is needed, from helping customers, putting away deliveries, making sandwiches, smoothies and specialty espresso drinks, washing dishes and cleaning.

Can adapt to a fast-paced environment during busy periods.

1 year of experience or more in a food-related or retail customer service role is preferred but not required.

There is room for growth into leadership responsibilities and we would be most excited about a candidate that exhibits the ability to be proactive, manage priorities, and work independently.
