What you can expect in a typical day

The Customer Relationship Marketing Specialist is a key member of the Loyalty Marketing team, reporting to the Customer Relationship Marketing Manager. This role builds and deploys content, and reports on the success of customer communications for Irving Oil\'s various brand, product, and service lines. They work very closely with other members of the Marketing, Communications, and IT teams to support implementation and execution of planned campaigns effectively and efficiently while maintaining quality assurance. The CRM Specialist will maintain stability within the CRM platform by supporting and improving related processes. The CRM Specialist will be an integral team member supporting the growth of our CRM services.

Your roles and responsibilities:
  • Partner and collaborate with our various lines of business (Big Stop, Irving Energy, Loyalty, Retail, Home Heat) in Canada, US, and Ireland to enable planning and execution of all marketing campaigns (email, SMS, Mobile) leveraging our communication channels.
  • Prepare high quality Email, SMS and Mobile Push Marketing Cloud templates
  • As requested, build and deploy quality communications aimed at specific audiences
  • Maintain a strong understanding of platform data to provide guidance and recommend new opportunities for segmentation, send deployment and campaign measurement, and more.
  • Uphold quality standards by playing an essential role in peer review process for all templates and journeys, ensuring accuracy of audience, timing, content, grammar, hyperlinks and more.
  • Monitor and report on campaign analytics to determine audience health, effectiveness of communications, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with IT to resolve issues related to contact data or domain, fulfill custom data or reporting requests, and set-up and test new functionality.
  • Support the Marketing team by providing data and analytics as requested
Professional skills
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRMA, Salesforce, Datorama, Loyalty Cloud, Experience Cloud and other Salesforce platforms considered an asset\xc2\xb7
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, passion for driving exceptional customer experience.
  • Ability to prioritize user requests effectively and manage user expectations
  • Strong analytical skills (including mastery of Microsoft Excel) and experience with reporting and data analysis. Demonstrated data analytics ability to critically look at performance data and draw constructive conclusions from the results
  • Experience with HTML coding considered an asset
Travel
  • Travel is not a requirement for this position.
Education and experience
  • University degree or advanced diploma in a related discipline (Business, Marketing or Information Technology)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related field.
