Overview



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Experience Intern to assist with customer engagement, marketing initiatives, and business development efforts. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support throughout their journey with us. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to analyze customer needs effectively with a focus on business growth and may be ideal for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in customer relations and marketing.

ELIGIBILITY:

program requires that candidates:

Are new entrants into the work force, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field; Have not previously participated in a NOHFC-funded internship; Be at least 18 years of age; and Reside, and be legally entitled to work, in Canada

Key Responsibilities:



Customer Experience Support:

Managing in-store and online customer interactions, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.

Marketing & Social Media:

Help develop an annual marketing plan, engaging content, manage social media platforms, and promote seasonal products and attend special events and trade shows

Business Development & Sales:

Support outreach efforts to local businesses, event planners, and community partners to drive sales and grow wholesale partnerships. Identify new business channels such as in-house events and courses. .

Qualifications & Skills:



Proven experience in customer service or related fields is preferred. Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) Strong skills in communication, data entry and attention to detail are essential. Familiarity with sales techniques, cold calls and upselling strategies is beneficial. Excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Ability to work independently and closely as part of a team Interest in marketing, business development, and customer service Passion for small businesses and community engagement

Job Types: Full-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
