Viterra is seeking a Customer Account Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be a relationship-builder who works directly with farm customers on the procurement of grain. The Customer Account Representative adds value to both Viterra and farm customers through educating and delivering information on grain marketing and contract programs that will maximize business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate canola and pulse contracts from a defined client base within a specific area
• Execute programs within an assigned market center meet budgeted grain volumes and margins
• Coordinate logistics of contracts and related administrative requirements
• Maintain and analyze a database of customer profiles
• Analyze current and future agricultural trends and service needs
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customers
• Contact producers regarding customer strategies in order to increase awareness of customer/business needs
• Drive and facilitate the competitive contracts offered at Viterra

• Efficient in MS office and experience utilizing relevant computer software programs
• Proven experience in customer service or sales capacity
• Basic understanding of the American Grain Industry

Education and Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agriculture or other sales related customer service functions
• Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Business Administration or Sales and Marketing (or equivalent post-secondary education)
• Must possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
