We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, pricing strategies, and project management principles to deliver competitive bids and support the company's growth. The Estimator will play a critical role in assessing project scope, developing cost proposals, and ensuring profitability.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
Develop comprehensive pricing strategies that align with project budgets and company objectives.
Review bid documents, identify potential risks, and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Assist in the development of project schedules and resource allocation plans.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid documents, and correspondence for future reference.
Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive bidding.
Skills
Proficiency in Bluebeam for markup and document management.
Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
Experience in project management within the construction industry.
Knowledge of HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
Expertise in construction estimating processes, including pricing materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
Solid understanding of construction practices, codes, and safety standards.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to produce precise estimates.
