Fiddleback is a custom millwork and cabinetry shop based in North Delta, specializing in high-quality residential and commercial projects. We pride ourselves on precision, craftsmanship, and exceptional client service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Millwork Drafter to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary:



The Millwork & Cabinetry Drafter is a critical role responsible for translating design concepts into precise, manufacturable shop drawings and production files. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Mozaik software and possesses excellent coordination skills. This role will serve as a key liaison between our design team, clients, suppliers, and our shop floor, ensuring projects are executed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop detailed and accurate shop drawings for custom millwork and cabinetry using Mozaik software. Generate comprehensive cutlists, material take-offs, and CNC programs from approved drawings. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to confirm material specifications, pricing, and lead times. Communicate effectively with shop employees to ensure clarity and proper execution of fabrication plans. Interface directly with clients as needed to review drawings, confirm details, and provide project updates. Review architectural plans and project specifications to ensure our drawings align with the overall project requirements. Manage project documentation and maintain organized digital files for all jobs.

Qualifications & Skills:



Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a drafter in the custom cabinet or architectural millwork industry.

Mandatory:

High proficiency with Mozaik software is required. Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, hardware, and materials. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, and team members. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Experience with CNC operation is an asset but not required.

Work Environment:



This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility to work from home periodically, combined with required in-office time at our North Delta facility for team collaboration and project oversight.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
