Responsibilities
Consult with clients to assess design requirements, preferences, budgets, and functional needs.
Develop cabinetry layouts and space plans that optimize functionality and aesthetics.
Prepare accurate 2D drawings, 3D renderings, elevations, and detailed shop drawings for approval and production.
Conduct site measurements and verify existing conditions to ensure design accuracy.
Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories in accordance with project specifications.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.
Revise designs based on client feedback, site conditions, or project changes.
Coordinate with sales, production, project management, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation phases.
Review completed installations to ensure alignment with approved designs and quality standards.
Maintain accurate project documentation and manage design-related change orders as required.
Experience & Skills
Required:
Proven experience in cabinet or millwork design.
Proficiency in design software
(MOZAIK)
Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, materials, and installation methods.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred / Asset Skills:
Client-facing experience with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience coordinating with builders, contractors, and installers.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage design changes efficiently.
