Job Description

We are seeking a Custodian at Happy House Daycare SOUTH location, available to start as soon as possible. This position consists of performing a variety of custodial duties required to maintain the cleanliness and care of the daycare on a full-time basis.

Shift: 10am - 6pm, Monday to Friday

Position involves:

Attention to detail: Ability to notice and address cleanliness issues in a thorough manner.

Time management: Efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.

Physical stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.

Physical ability to do the required work (Repetitive movements, walking and standing for long periods of time, lifting as needed)

Sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, vacuuming, stocking shelves. Cleaning communal bathrooms, hallways and lobbies & stocking the janitors closets

Knowledge of different cleaning supplies and tools

Awareness of safety procedures

Multitasking and organizational skills to keep track of various responsibilities

Ability to carry out tasks in a timely fashion with minimal supervision

Flexibility to work in a team environment and individually

Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally

Good organization and cleaning standards

Committed to building an atmosphere of trust, competence, confidentiality and positive service to the daycare.

Previous custodial experience considered an asset. Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search.
