Development of educational materials/guides for migrant workers (mainly seasonal agricultural migrant workers in rural areas) and front-line staff from TNO \xe2\x80\x93 THE NEIGHBOURHOOD ORGANIZATION working with those workers (TNO is a community-based, multi-service agency providing a wide range of community services since 1985 across Ontario). Those materials will cover specific topics in the field of immigration and/or employment law, such as filing an Employment Standards complaint or making an application to permanent residence (PR) under one of the existing PR programs.2. On-site /hands-on training for TNO staff /migrant workers. The person hired under this project should be available from November 2024 , since on-site training activities will start taking place at this time.Minimum Qualifications:- A minimum of two years of undergraduate studies in law or a related program (e.g., criminology, social justice). Master\xe2\x80\x99s in law or in a related field an asset.
-Fluency in speaking, reading and writing in English AND Spanish.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Canadian immigration law and its technicalities.
- Familiarity with Ontario Employment standards.
-Demonstrated history of working in the social services industry (by assisting \xe2\x80\x9cvulnerable\xe2\x80\x9d populations and/or advocating for their rights).
- Experienced with on-site training activities.
-Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office.
