Research Assistant will conduct research and other tasks for developing (1) an Oxford Bibliography on Business and Human Rights (Law) (2) a SSHRC Insight Grant on Remedies for Resource extraction affected communities within Canada (3) a paper on the corporation and racial capitalism and (4) a paper on corporate access to Charter protections, among other business and human rights projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Open to students in Common Law or a suitable equivalent. Students must have successfully completed CML 3399 Human Rights (International Protection), or CML 1109A or 3131 Public International Law or CML 4109A Business and Human Rights and must have experience conducting research on international human rights issues and business and human rights issues. Applicants must submit a cover letter, CV, law school transcripts and the names and contact information of two referees (compiled in a single pdf document in order to be considered).
