We are seeking a dedicated and organized Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service environment, overseeing daily activities, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively within a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the cookhouse, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food quality and service.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal offerings and guest preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation, in line with industry best practices.
Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless communication between kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Develop and maintain strong relationships and positive communications with stakeholder groups including guests, partners, suppliers and community members.
Anticipate challenges and opportunities and develop and implement innovative solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a culinary leadership role, with a strong background in kitchen operations.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
Passion for culinary innovation and creating memorable guest experiences.
Excellent communication skills, both with kitchen staff and across departments.
Flexible and adaptable, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
Must have experience in food wastage management
Certification in Food Safety preferred.
A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from RCMP or local police authority.
