We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a < KEY PERSON>. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, punctual and possess a strong commitment to excellence.
Duties
Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
Act as the Chef's right-hand man in daily operations;
Contribute to the preparation of sauces, pasta, dish bases and other foods to be served in Ottavio restaurants and to portioning;
Monitor the cooking, assembly, and cooling of food prepared in bulk; Comply with hygiene and safety standards for volume production;
Handle ingredients precisely to avoid cross-contamination related to allergens;
Prepare allergy-safe dishes and specific diets according to protocols;
Assist in the planning and execution of daily tasks and responsibilities
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to projects
Provide support in troubleshooting issues as they arise
Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive work environment
Skills
A minimum of 6 months of experience as a cook is required;
Must have authorization to work legally in Canada;
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing situations
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
