Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a cube van (International 4300) to transport scrap metals/other commodities.

- Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling and securing of the cargo. (Ratchet straps, chains, etc.)

- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the supervisor.

- Provide excellent customer service by making pick-ups in a timely and professional manner.

- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing any concerns they may have.

- Complete paperwork relevant to pickups in a legible manner (how many items, identifying marks on bins, etc.)

- Perform daily pre-trip inspections.

- Utilizing the company's app, update the location of bins throughout the city as they move.

Skills:
- Valid Manitoba driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.

- Customer service skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks is required.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with customers coworkers.

- Experience using pallet jack, sometimes moving items in excess of 2500lb.

- Fluency in the English language is imperative.

- Minimum 5 years of driving experience within Canada.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.50 per hour
