Position Overview: The Production Supervisor is responsible to the SM to ensure all facets of aircraft maintenance, aircraft maintenance training, aircraft maintenance documentation and daily operations are maintained to the correct airworthiness standards as published in the TAM, Maintenance Process Manual, technical and administrative instructions. What You Will Do:
  • Communicate with Squadron Operations staff for all aircraft maintenance and support issues
  • Attend Squadron briefings
  • Ensuring aircraft maintenance is adequately scheduled to provide mission capable aircraft to meet flight schedule
  • Ensuring that the Site Manager is briefed on the current status of MOB corrective and scheduled aircraft maintenance
  • Plan, supervise corrective and preventive maintenance on MOB aircraft to ensure PIM inspections remain on schedule to meet FCFCL date or better
  • Advise Site Manager on Monthly Aircraft Availability, Mission Reliability, as well cause factors and corrective actions
  • Ensure aircraft maintenance personnel requirements are identified, and personnel are assigned, to support aircraft maintenance and operations
  • Ensuring personnel adhere to airworthiness rules and standards in the TAM/MPM, technical publications, and standard procedures
  • Enforce policies, procedures and directives established by the Company
  • Audit and control aircraft Servicing Sets for correctness and completeness of aircraft maintenance carried out at 1st and 2nd Line
  • Provide Recurrent Training for MOB personnel
  • Monitor individual training and advise on training requirements
  • Advise SM on stock levels and liaise with DSM/staff to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained
  • Ensure demand reflect the needs of the MOB and proactively coordinate with CSC to ensure needs are met
  • Review and respond to Quality Audit observations including recommending corrective action
  • Act as SM; PASMA and/or PRAA, DSM when required
  • Liaise with the CSC on maintenance, engineering and logistic issues relating to aircraft maintenance
  • Recommend, lead initiatives to improve maintenance and logistics support
  • Plan, coordinate and lead Deployment and Mobile Repair Parties
  • Perform other duties as required in support of the CH 149 ISSC
What You Will Bring:
  • Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an aircraft aviation technician within the Canadian Armed Forces or equivalent commercial experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years\' experience in helicopter maintenance is required;
  • A minimum of 2 years\' supervisory role;
  • Skilled ability to coordinate crew activities, including but not limited, to task assignment, shift assignment, attendance control, overtime and vacation scheduling;
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including, but not limited to, power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures and power generation and distribution systems;
  • Ability to prepare, deliver clear and convincing presentations to senior customer and company representatives.
  • Demonstrate understanding of business and customer satisfaction requirements for in-service support contracts, with senior industry contacts.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints and Standard Plant Procedures;
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performances of the duties;
  • Valid NL Class 5 Drive License, ability to drive vehicles, tow tractors and support vehicles;
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health,
  • Safety and Environment policies; Continually focusing on your individual safety and the safety of others who may be affected by your work and to fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety Legislation;
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 6S activities in your area.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program.
