Your Role as Crusher Grounds Crew (Labourer)
As part of the Crusher Grounds Crew, you will play a hands-on role supporting aggregate production by working around crushers, assisting with equipment maintenance, and performing physical labour to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This is a rotational trades role based at our Belleoram, NL site, working 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off on 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform physical labour around crushing operations, including shovelling and site clean-up.
Work safely around crushers, conveyors, and moving components.
Assist with both planned and unplanned maintenance on crushing equipment.
Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
Operate a skid steer to support site activities.
Operate heavy equipment intermittently as required.
Support supervisors and tradespeople in maintaining safe and efficient site operations.
Participate in pre-shift meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
What You'll Bring
Experience working around crushers, conveyors, and moving components.
Ability to perform physical labour in a heavy industrial environment (e.g., shovelling, lifting, working outdoors).
Experience assisting in planned and unplanned maintenance on crushing equipment.
Ability to operate a skid steer safely and effectively.
Ability to operate heavy equipment on an intermittent basis.
Knowledge of crushing operations and site safety requirements.
Commitment to safety as the top priority.
Ability to obtain a clean miner's medical.
Willingness to work a remote, rotational schedule (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts) in Belleoram, NL.
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively.
Note, a condition of employment will be that the successful candidates must become members of the operations union, LiUNA Local 1208. Individuals hired will be reminded of this when they get to the offer stage of employment.
