Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and manufacturing processes, with expertise in various CAD software and machining techniques. This role involves creating precise technical drawings and models that support the development of high-quality products.

Duties

Develop detailed CAD models and technical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet specifications and production requirements. Utilize GD&T principles to create accurate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing on designs. Perform CNC programming for CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining processes. Conduct blueprint reading to interpret design specifications accurately. Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize design processes and reduce waste. Use coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance and precision measurement of components. Implement CAM programming techniques to streamline the manufacturing process. Engage in tooling design and selection to enhance production efficiency. Employ precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other tools for accurate measurements.

Requirements

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, and CAM programming tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining processes such as CNC milling and CNC turning. Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts to improve design workflows. Understanding of geometry, schematics, and blueprint reading skills. Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments effectively for quality control. Experience with Fanuc controls is a plus. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining techniques is desirable. Strong mathematical skills for calculations related to design accuracy.
