Crossing Guard
to help ensure the safety of students as they travel to and from school.Key Responsibilities:
Assist children and pedestrians in safely crossing streets at assigned locations. Observe traffic flow and use hand-held stop signs to control vehicles when necessary. Maintain a positive, respectful presence as a representative of the community. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications:
Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to safety. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Comfortable interacting with children, parents, and drivers in a calm, professional manner. A criminal record/vulnerable sector check will be required.
Details:
Approximately 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday (split shifts around school start and dismissal times). Seasonal position following the school calendar (September-June).
