Cross Border Long Haul Class 1/az Driver
Job Description
Bison Drivers are paid every week, on time! Running open-board Canada/U.S. long-haul, this position requires you to be on the road 7 to 14 days at a time averaging 12,000 miles per month. Resets on the road as required.
Southbound freight could depart into any of the lower 48 states
Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories
Required to drive in California, and U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year
Required to drive Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months of the year
Assigned unit requires 24 days on the road per month
Regional freight might be required.
Freight and destinations might vary
Flexible schedule requiring weekend departures
Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol
Candidate Profile:
Company Driver with 24 months tractor-trailer experience Must be U.S. qualified Must have a minimum of 6 months U.S. driving experience Must have a minimum of 6 months Highway 17 experience Must be eligible for a FAST card Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more, Driver assist is required on occasion Must be able to work weekends Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license B.C. Mountain experience is an asset Reliable, flexible, and punctual Strong communication skills Values safety
