Please Note:

This is a full-time overnight role, working Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

Position Summary





The Crossdock Administrator is the overnight anchor for our dock operations, making sure every shipment, document, and status update is logged and accurate by the start of each day.



This is a detail-driven, behind-the-scenes role where your organizational skills power the flow of information between the overnight team, carriers, cross dock partners, and the incoming morning crew. If you thrive on keeping multiple priorities straight and catching what others might miss, you'll be a key reason our day team starts every morning ahead of the curve.

Key Accountabilities




Maintain and update shipment records in real-time using Excel, Google Sheets, and transportation management systems Receive, review, and scan Bill of Lading (BOL) packages and all supporting shipment paperwork for accuracy and completeness Track FNAs, missed pickups, overnight arrivals, and update system statuses as operations happen Communicate with internal teams, other cross dock locations, and carrier partners to confirm arrivals, clarify exceptions, and provide timely updates Prepare and organize documentation packets for the following day's operations to ensure a flawless shift transition Collaborate closely with the Cross Dock Specialist to resolve open issues, keep all data aligned, and provide support as needed Produce and file shift handover notes and ongoing logs to ensure nothing gets missed between night and day teams Surface recurring issues or process gaps to the Operations Manager and suggest improvements to documentation or data flow


Knowledge & Experience




2+ years of experience in a transportation admin, shipping/receiving, or logistics coordinator role (overnight or off-shift experience a plus) Advanced data entry and documentation skills with serious attention to accuracy Strong with Excel, Google Sheets, and relevant TMS or warehouse management software Experience verifying paperwork (BOLs, shipment manifests, delivery logs) for high-volume operations Confident and clear with written and verbal communication, able to escalate info when needed Reliable, deadline-focused, and comfortable owning accountability for the admin side of dock operations

Shipment documentation, trackers, and system entries are accurate, timely, and complete Transition notes and logs set day teams up with clear, actionable information OSD issues, FNAs, and missed pickups are tracked and flagged quickly Day operations and leadership give positive feedback on documentation quality and communication * No backlog of unresolved paperwork or admin errors at shift change
