Looking for a Driver to do do London to Port Huron run twice a month.

The run can be done in 5 hours on normal day. You can get slowdowns when crossing at US border, or general traffic slowdowns. As you operate a F150 you can identify as a car and skip lots of the Trucker lines.

You will pickup f150 plus a large trailer (under 6000lbs) from our warehouse and drop off at UPS in Port Huron. About 100-150 Packages around 40lbs each need to be unloaded by hand at UPS. After drop off you just drive home empty, no lineups at the border now as you are personal or truck if the lines are smaller.

Will pay $250 per run. or $50 / hour. I have done this run hundreds of time and it has never taken more than 7 hours in normal conditions this is under heavy traffic, xrays wrong paperwork etc...). Of course strikes or closed bridges will change that. In 10 years I chose to stay overnight twice, once due to custom agenst strike and the other due to Detroit bridge closing. I could have waited in line for many hours but hotel and chill out in Port Huron seemed like a better options.

Pickup your own day as long as its weekday. Must leave London at 9am or so.

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization. Utilize forklifts or other equipment for moving heavy items when necessary.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required. Proven experience in customer service with a focus on positive interactions. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform moving tasks efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is desirable. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
