The extended scope of practice enables the CCP to treat patients both independently and as a member of an ever-changing multidisciplinary team. The CCP provides specialized support in advanced life support, difficult airway management and procedural sedation and analgesia. The CCP allows the physician to maximize efficiency and provides advanced trauma life support, code blue team support, trauma, preceptor for students, casting and splinting, wound care and closure (suturing), phlebotomy, arterial access for blood gases, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, transports critically ill patients to other treatment/testing areas, and the assessment, investigation and management of injuries.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
