Part Time Maternity Leave position for 9 months
3-10 hour(9am-7pm) shifts per week and the option to pick up extra shifts if available.
Education:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent with work experience or education in the Human Service field.
Experience/Assets:
Knowledge of family violence and related issues
Knowledge of community resources
Ability to remain calm in high stress situations.
Non-judgmental approach
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated
Ability to work as an effective team member and independently.

Intervention Record Check (CFSA)
Standard First Aid Certificate
Summary of position:
The CIW is required to develop a supportive relationship with women and children residing in the Shelter. In addition, responsibilities include 24 hour Crisis Line, Education and Safety Planning, Advocacy, referrals to community agencies and maintaining a good relationship with relevant services providers/agencies.
