The Program
CJHS is seeking a hands-on
Crew Supervisor
to lead renovation and maintenance projects that support our mission of creating safe, welcoming spaces. You'll work closely with a small team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone with trade experience who enjoys mentoring others, solving problems, and making a tangible impact in the community.
The Position
Lead day-to-day renovation and repair work, including painting, drywall, flooring, basic carpentry, and general maintenance.
Plan and organize job tasks to ensure smooth operations and timely completion.
Coordinate material orders and liaise with tradespeople or subcontractors as needed.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations, including hazard identification, safe work practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and other stakeholders about project progress and any issues.
Monitor quality of work and provide guidance and training to staff and apprentices.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in renovation, construction, or building maintenance.
Proven experience supervising a small team or crew.
Comfortable using mobile devices (phone/tablet) for scheduling and job tracking.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
