We maximize customer satisfaction. SPY is hiring team members to work on our burial service crew on behalf of telecommunications providers. We are seeking motivated people, organized and able to work in various weather conditions, with winter layoff resuming in the spring. Our company values our employees promoting from within and are willing to train. Candidate must put safety first and be a reliable member on a daily basis. - Burying cable with hand tools through homeowners properties. Using a quick cut saw to cut driveways, a sledge hammer and a spud bar to get under the sidewalks for certain jobs. Pulling cable through conduit that is already placed. We are looking for individuals with the following attributes: Good communications skills with the ability to engage professionally with homeowners, coworkers and supervisors. Willing to learn and wanting to advance their careers in telecommunication industry, No experience required, we are willing to train. * Previous experience in a crew leader role. * 1 year construction preferred * 1 year landscaping preferred * 1 year general Labourer preferred. * Working at heights is an asset. * CPR & First aid is an asset. Responsibilities:
Starting wage range varies, travel pay offered, hours are from 8AM to 5PM Monday to Friday. Overtime is available. Must possess a valid G Class License. Must own a vehicle to commute to meeting location in morning location Orillia . * Job Type: Full-time Salary: $20.00-$21.00 per hour Benefits:
- Receive daily work order from dispatch.
- Plan daily routes.
- Maintain a company vehicle.
- Problem solving capabilities and create a plan for the burial route.
- Order and maintain inventory stock supplies.
- Work directly with customers in a professional manner.
- Proficient and safe using cable line tools, quick cut saw, training provided.
- Shall be knowledgeable and competent in field operations.
- Demonstrates leadership and problem-solving.
- Communicates with customers, property owners and the public in a professional manner.
- Responsible for their own paperwork that has been assigned to them. i.e.: time sheets, work order forms, locates.
- Work orders are to be closed once each job is complete through the SPY Network by the Crew Leader.
- To be able to resolve conflicts, site problems, and minor homeowner complaints.
- Organize team members daily for day to day operations.
- Job organizing and completion forecast if necessary.
- Communicate with team members assigned to ensure they are completing tasks, Health and Safety and all other policies and procedures in a safe and orderly manner.
- Will be in charge of job site safety and production of their assigned crew.
- Will ultimately be in charge of the crew and team members assigned to that crew on a daily basis.
