Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and finishing techniques, with the ability to lead a team of painters to ensure high-quality results on various projects. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate painting projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Lead a team of painters, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers or sealants. Select appropriate paints, stains, and finishes based on project requirements. Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment while ensuring even coverage and minimal waste. Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure it meets company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a painter (3-5 years) with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials. Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately. Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Familiarity with safety regulations related to painting and construction work. Must be able to speak English and French Must hold a valid drivers license Must have reliable transportation Be comfortable working at moderate heights at times

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
