Third Dimension Millwork (TDM) is hiring a
Crew Lead - Cabinet Installer
to
oversee and execute
millwork installations in commercial retail spaces (e.g., grocery stores, big-box retailers). This position requires
strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and expertise in millwork installation.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leading a crew (2-3 installers) of varying skill levels, providing guidance, training, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision & Reporting
- Oversee nightly progress, coordinate with the general contractor's representative and site trades, and provide daily updates to TDM's project management and office team.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with the general contractor's site representative, adjust schedules as needed, and coordinate material deliveries with the project manager.
Installation Duties
- Install a variety of millwork components, including:
Wall protection
(plywood, plastic laminate, aluminum trims)
Custom displays, shelving, and checkout counters
Office counters, vanities, kitchenettes, and kiosks
Signage and decor packages
for branded retail environments
Hanging decor elements using strut systems
Quality & Safety
- Ensure high-quality installations and adherence to all safety standards.
Technical Skills
- Read blueprints, operate necessary tools, and follow TDM work procedures
What We're Looking For:
Leadership skills
- Ability to
supervise a crew
and train less experienced installers.
Problem-solving skills
- Can complete projects on time despite job site challenges.
Experience in millwork installation and cabinetry
in
commercial settings
.
WHMIS certification
(mandatory). Additional safety certifications (fall arrest, aerial lift operation, etc.) are an asset--TDM can assist with training.
Must have personal
hand tools and PPE
.
Additional information;
WHIMIS certification is mandatory
Additional certifications such as first aid, fall arrest, aerial lift operation and fork lift operation may be required to undertake some of our job tasks. If the applicant does not posses these certifications TDM can assist with training.
