Responsibilities:

• Accurately account for transactions in the general ledger accounts
• Prepare and Post Journal entries in fixed asset subledger and ensure compliances with IFRS standard
• Liaise with real estate finance team to ensure proper accounting
• Prepare working papers that support account balances, and investigation of any issues
• Understand occupancy Accounting and ensure proper period journal entries
• Prepare note disclosure templates for the external reporting team during quarter ends
• Facilitate the internal and external audit of accounts
• Prepare various analytical and ad-hoc reports
• Perform month-end and year-end financial reporting analysis
• Work closely with the Manager Finance, Accounting & Control to ensure standardized and efficient processing of accounts

Qualifications:

• Relevant post-secondary education (Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, etc.)
• 2+ years relevant experience in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Completion of or working toward a CPA designation
• Strong computer skills; Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven time management, organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to anticipate issues and recommend appropriate actions
• SAP Experience preferred
