We are currently seeking a qualified and empathetic Couples Counsellor to join our team.

Position Summary:



The Couples Counsellor is a social worker or psychotherapist that has experience working specifically with couples. You will provide therapy to couples dealing with relational issues, conflict, communication difficulties, infidelity and other interpersonal challenges. The successful candidate will offer client-centered, culturally sensitive counselling in accordance with professional standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:



- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for couples

- Facilitate therapeutic sessions using evidence-based modalities (e.g., Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, CBT, etc.)

- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards

- Collaborate with other clinicians and referral sources as needed

- Provide crisis intervention and support, when appropriate

- Participate in case consultations, supervision and professional development activities

- Uphold the ethical guidelines and standards of your respective regulatory college

Qualifications:



- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or a related field

- Registered and in good standing with one of the following regulatory bodies:

1. College of Social Workers (e.g., Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers - OCSWSSW)

2. College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or provincial equivalent

- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy, with a strong focus on couples counselling

- Training and/or certification in a recognized couples therapy approach (e.g., EFT, Gottman, IFS, etc.) is a strong asset

- Demonstrated understanding of diverse relationship structures, cultural competencies and trauma-informed care

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Pay: $34,113.98-$79,994.88 per year
