We are seeking a COUPA Spend Management Senior Consultant to lead and implement COUPA solutions for our clients. This role requires deep expertise in COUPA's procurement, invoicing, and expense management modules, along with strong consulting and project management skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to optimize their spend management processes, enhance procurement efficiencies, and ensure seamless integration with existing financial systems. Additionally, a strong understanding of taxation laws in both Canada and the U.S. is required to ensure compliance in procurement, invoicing, and financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:



COUPA Implementation & Optimization: Lead end-to-end implementation of COUPA solutions, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Pay (S2P), and Supplier Management modules. Business Process Assessment: Analyze client procurement and spend management processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend best practices.

Tax Compliance & Regulations:



Ensure procurement and invoicing processes align with U.S. and Canadian tax regulations, including GST, HST, PST, QST, and sales tax. Assist in configuring COUPA tax settings to automate compliance and tax calculation based on regional requirements. Work with finance and tax teams to support proper reporting and audit compliance. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, procurement teams, and IT departments to define requirements and align COUPA solutions with business objectives. System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of COUPA with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday. Training & Change Management: Conduct user training sessions and support change management efforts to drive user adoption. Reporting & Analytics: Utilize COUPA analytics to track performance metrics and provide actionable insights for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while managing risks and stakeholder expectations. Technical Troubleshooting: Address system issues, implement enhancements, and work with COUPA support as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:



Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:



5+ years of experience in procurement, spend management, or financial operations, with at least 3 years specializing in COUPA implementations. Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. tax regulations, including GST, HST, PST, QST, and U.S. state/federal sales tax compliance. Experience integrating COUPA with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Workday.

Technical Skills:



Proficiency in COUPA spend management module (Procurement, Invoicing, Sourcing, Expenses, Supplier Management). Familiarity with automated tax compliance tools within COUPA. Strong understanding of procurement, AP automation, and financial processes.

Soft Skills:



Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams. Certifications: COUPA certification(s) preferred. Tax or accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, CTP, or equivalent) are a plus.

Pay: $55,712.52-$120,488.40 per year
