Job Summary

The HR Business Partner will provide proactive and forward-thinking HR service, working directly with managers as an internal consultant on all matters related to people. In this role, you will be primarily supporting our Customer Support organization in Canada and will have the opportunity to act as a true people partner and change champion. You will assess and anticipate organizational and people-related needs while working proactively with our Centres of Excellence, business leaders, Functional and Country HRBP Partners to launch integrated and innovative solutions.

Create and build confidence with business leaders to become a trusted advisor who is well-informed, thoughtful, creative, and capable.

Work closely with our Functional HRBP for Customer Care in the UK as well as participate in various meetings and channels to represent Canada\xe2\x80\x99s needs and challenges, helping to ensure global program roll-outs align with our country needs and local landscape

Work cross functionally with our global logistics team and Country HRBP based in Canada; sharing knowledge and support where needed

Be part of a larger Country HRBP and People team; representing your functional area and sharing knowledge while also learning about other parts of the business

Assist with tracking and reporting of people metrics; using them to identify challenges, opportunities or to highlight successes

Lead the resolution of complex people issues; use existing knowledge and experience and also work with other internal experts (COEs) as needed

Support and execute tactical change initiatives and HR agenda items in line with country specific business plans, including the roll-out of various HR programs in collaboration with the COEs

Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to bring in the best talent; regular review of hiring targets and priorities to maintain alignment with business objectives

Utilise HRIS systems (Workday and Dayforce) to run reports, approve transactions, and a variety of other related functions

Gain a solid understanding of the business, competitive landscape, and the challenges faced by the various teams and leaders in order to build a holistic view that will help in identifying where HR can add the most value and contribute to meeting objectives

Participate in recurring meetings with management; provide program updates, report on people metrics, and offer HR guidance where needed

Work closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation

Champion a culture of respect and foster a diverse and inclusive workforce

Perform other related duties as assigned

Recipe For Success:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered

HR experience supporting a business with various roles, compensation structures, and organisational hierarchy

Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines covering the full employee life cycle, with at least 5 years of related professional HR experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence

Experience resolving complex employee relations issues with managers at various levels of seniority

Track record of creating and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders throughout an organisation

Must be comfortable with and thrive in a complex, evolving, and fast-paced work environment

Results-driven with a proven ability to execute quickly, effectively, and consistently; must be able to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities and expectations from leaders on different teams

Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; able to prioritize your tasks independently and work with a good amount of autonomy

Experience in leading change management initiatives and developing effective approaches to improve organizational culture

Subject matter knowledge of employment legislation, preferably across multiple provinces; active curiosity to seek out knowledge and information.
