About:

Focused Solutions Counselling and Coaching is a well-established private practice in the heart of Canmore. We provide high-quality, compassionate counselling to individuals, couples, and families throughout the Bow Valley and across Alberta. We are expanding our team and inviting skilled, reflective, and growth-oriented psychologists to join our collaborative, supportive environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Registered Psychologist (or eligible for registration in Alberta) who practices from a strength-oriented, client-centred approach such as Solution-Focused Therapy or Narrative Therapy, and who is competent in one or more of the following approaches:

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Attachment-Based Therapy Biofeedback (equipment required) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Play Therapy Reunification Therapy Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 2 or 3) Sex Therapy Somatic Experiencing Sports Psychology
Preferred Areas of Competence (or willingness to become trained):

Chronic pain High-conflict relationships Men's issues Parenting time / parenting accessibility assessments Treatment-resistant depression or anxiety LGBTQI+ support
Competency in other areas will also be considered.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology Registration (or eligibility) with the College of Alberta Psychologists Professional liability insurance Strong ethical practice Commitment to professional growth and collaboration
