Job Description


:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant to join our client\'s manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems and processes.
  • Analyze production costs, labor costs, and inventory costs.
  • Prepare detailed reports on cost analysis, cost reduction, and cost control initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide insights for corrective actions.
  • Manage and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accuracy in physical inventory and cost valuation.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and coordinate with production and procurement teams for inventory optimization.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to manufacturing costs.
  • Provide management with detailed cost reports and financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-effective solutions and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Requirements:Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and the ability to analyze and interpret large datasets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience with process improvement initiatives.
