On behalf of an award-winning market leader in IoT and big data for the AgTech sector, we are seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract engagement. The Senior Accountant, focusing on Inventory Management, will be responsible for developing and maintaining an inventory management strategy to allow management to understand performance and make data driven decisions.What you will be doing:Accounting & Reporting: Complete processing tasks, analysis, and reports, such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, inventory and COGS reporting. Ensure accuracy and completeness in the reporting of inventory and related transactions.Financial Analysis: Improve manufacturing and product quality and performance to help achieve organizational objectives by analyzing and interpreting costs and presenting findings and recommendations. Analyze data to provide meaningful insights and ensure completeness.Inventory and Cost Accounting: Manage and control costs of all manufacturing, material and labor, expenses and collaborate to determine inventory valuation. Plan and oversee inventory counts and validate vendor statements and ensure physical inventories are reconciled regularly. Understand and monitor inventory movements and its impact.Business Enablement: Recommend, establish, and maintain an adequate system of accounting and financial principles, practices, procedures and initiatives relating to inventory management.Collaborate cross-functionally with team members from all levels of the organization. Work closely with the accounts payable specialist in relation to COGS and inventory transactions, with emphasis being effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.What you must have:3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least two years of direct cost accounting experience in inventory managementA resilient, flexible, solution-oriented approach to addressing areas of improvement, likes digging into issues and enjoys taking leadership in addressing problemsAbility to drive change as needed, reviewing and delivering recommendations for continuous improvementAbility to thrive in an environment of flexibility and ambiguity.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skillsSelf-directed, highly motivated, and energeticOutstanding work ethic with strong commitment to quality and delivering on timeComfortable as an individual contributor and collaborative team memberQualified CPA/CMANice to have:Experience with Microsoft DynamicsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google SuiteFor more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at
