Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation is an asset).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to multi-product costing and standard cost systems.
Technical Skills
Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
Hands-on experience with MRP platforms and integrated accounting systems.
Familiarity with QAD 2008 is considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain methods for tracking actual manufacturing costs.
Create, update, and monitor standard costs for all inventory items.
Calculate and evaluate overhead application rates.
Participate in ISO internal audits as part of the audit team.
Coordinate cycle counts and review results to improve inventory accuracy.
Lead or support the annual physical inventory count.
Investigate and explain variances related to revenue, cost of sales, and manufacturing accounts.
Prepare monthly journals, reconciliations, working papers, and financial reports.
Produce meaningful reports and analysis to support decision-making.
Assist with annual audit preparation and provide required documentation.
Prepare annual transfer pricing reports for management review.
Reconcile inventory balances and resolve discrepancies through production processes.
Support budgeting activities related to fixed and variable costs.
Work with operations teams to identify cost variances and support cost-reduction projects.
Track and report progress on savings initiatives.
Review labor and overhead rates periodically.
Analyze actual production costs and compare them against estimates.
Maintain and update standard cost data.
Provide cost estimates for new projects, products, and customer quotes.
Generate profitability, pricing, and cost-driver reports.
Maintain BOMs and pricing data.
Document cost-related findings and recommend process improvements.
Review product or design changes and assess impacts on materials, labor, and machine time.
Offer financial insights to manufacturing leaders to improve performance.
Evaluate and report on direct/indirect labor activity and variances.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Primarily seated work with regular use of a computer.
Occasional bending or lifting of items up to 10 lbs (files, binders, reports).
