WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR:



Conduct field surveys to gather data for evaluation of corrosion and corrosion control. Execute pipeline and tank integrity testing. Perform testing of corrosion prevention systems including cathodic protection, protective coatings, AC/DC interference and corrosion monitoring. Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements and rectifier data. Diagnose and develop recommended remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations. Write survey reports for review by an engineer. Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings. Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent addition of detail. Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables. Assemble and analyze data for preparation of final client report including recommendations. Prepare survey reports and final job reports for review. Supervise Field Technicians. Assist superior in appraising employee performance and related matters. Act as direct interface with customer when required. Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal development. Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers. Represent Corrpro in a professional manner, with a high degree of respect for all existing and potential customers. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Education and/or Experience: NACE CP3 or CIP Level 2 or working towards it. Minimum of 7-10 years professional experience. Must have valid Driver's License. Corrosion Control experience is required. Must have strong project management and problem-solving skills. Strong team and internal customer service skills are a must. Incumbent must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, general public) and respond to questions. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical, algebraic and geometric concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, etc. Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Leadership Skills: Position requires individual to have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently. Must be capable of making people management decisions and comfortable in a management position. Personal Attributes: Possesses and applies comprehensive engineering knowledge of engineering principles to the completion of complex assignments. Computer-Based: Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. Ability to learn new applications quickly. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point) required. Physical Demands Frequent standing and walking required throughout the day. Occasional climbing may be required. Frequent driving is required. Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting required. Frequent computer-related activities, such as typing and viewing a computer monitor are required. Required to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Willing to work overtime as required. Work Environment: In performing the duties for this job, the employee will work in either an office type environment or in outside weather conditions (occasionally near job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations). Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Travel is required. Will periodically work away from home. Working outside during various times of year is required.
