Your Contribution:
  • Strategize corporate social media initiatives
  • Grow corporate social media presence and followers YOY
  • Create content for, manage, and execute social media marketing client work including planning, scheduling, posting, and reporting on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Run the day-to-day organic social media content generation for corporate branding accounts
  • Own the OpenRoad Auto Group brand personality and execute on group account social calendar
  • Champion Unlimited Possibilities Ahead through group social media
  • Work with the internal marketing team on social media strategy, brand personality, and engagement
  • Work with regional content co-ordinators to align social media initiatives and standards across the group
  • Educate stakeholders on social media best practices by building best-practice guides and presentations
  • Contribute to semi-monthly blog articles for corporate website
  • Collaborate with the internal content team and corporate videographer to bring corporate video projects to life
  • Strategize corporate online video content strategy, with an emphasis on growing corporate YouTube channel and audience
  • Work with the internal marketing team to ensure content is consistently delivered across all viable online platforms, including offline content such as OpenRoad Driver Magazine
  • Communicate with store management to coordinate photography and videos for social media
  • Cover and attend corporate and dealership events
  • Working with corporate communications lead to develop and organize programs that fit the OpenRoad brand, such as influencer partnerships
  • Communicate with social media followers and respond to/hand over inquiries in a timely manner
  • Conduct industry-specific competitive analyses and reports on gaps and opportunities
  • Create monthly performance reports and monitor the company’s social media presence and performance regularly
  • Coordinate and strategize with regional social media co-ordinators to align brand messaging
  • Perform quarterly assessments of store social media accounts and make suggestions to improve performance
  • Attend and participate in quarterly brainstorming sessions and planning meetings with regional content creators and the internal content team
  • Stay current with social media trends, best practices, and platforms
  • Ensure compliance with OpenRoad and manufacturers' brand standards
  • This position is expected to perform other duties as assigned by management

Your Primary Skills/Experience:
  • 2 years of successful social media management in a corporate or agency setting with a portfolio to support
  • Bachelor’s degree - Business Administration, Journalism, or Marketing preferred
  • Exceptional communication and written skills
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and associated metrics
  • Strong photography, video, and post-production skills
  • Proven track record of creating engaging online video content
  • Successful history of managing multiple brands and distinct brand identities
  • Strong social media writing skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Know the ins and outs of the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro)
  • Own vehicle and valid BC Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience with Google Analytics, social listening platforms, and social media analytics tools
  • Experience with SEO and SMO, keyword, and competitor research using a variety of tools
  • Past experience managing social media influencers
  • Knowing your way around any Canon, Sony, or Nikon system
  • Having a passion for auto, pop culture, social media, technology, and experimentation
  • Past experience in the automotive industry (dealership or national level)
