With a 170,000 square foot aluminum extrusion facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, Apex can offer custom extrusions, mill finish aluminum and anodized aluminum to satisfy the most demanding customer and all architectural needs.

We are a diversified corporate group with multiple businesses and properties, including construction sites, residential developments, and commercial assets throughout the region. To better protect our people, property, and assets, we are bringing security in-house and seeking a highly skilled and trusted Security Officer to join our team.

Role Overview

The Security Officer will play a critical role in safeguarding our properties and business interests. This individual will patrol and monitor multiple sites during their shift, respond to incidents, deter theft and vandalism, and act as the first line of defense against unauthorized access.

This position requires a high level of professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be trusted with sensitive company information, given direct responsibility for protecting valuable assets, and expected to exercise strong judgment in fast-moving situations.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol multiple company sites and properties throughout each shift using a company-provided vehicle. Conduct routine inspections of construction sites, properties, and equipment to identify risks or breaches. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and security incidents. Deter theft, trespassing, and vandalism through visible presence and proactive engagement. Maintain detailed shift reports, documenting patrols, incidents, and observations. Collaborate with management and local law enforcement when required. Protect confidential company information and ensure all actions align with company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional security experience (corporate, construction, or property security preferred). Valid security license/certification in British Columbia. Proven track record of reliability, integrity, and discretion in prior roles. Strong observational and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Comfortable working independently during night shifts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Shift Timings - Friday to Monday | 8:00PM to 6:30AM

Location - Multiple sites across the Fraser Valley
