We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Corporate Health and Safety team, in the position of Safety Advisor \xe2\x80\x93 Corporate Health and Safety (Contract Position) within J.D. Irving, Limited, Saint John group of companies. This position is located and based out of our head office in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Education \xe2\x80\x93 University or College Degree in related field preferred (e.g., Safety Management, Health Sciences).
• A minimum of 2 years health and safety and/or data management experience is an asset as this is a key part of this role.
• Strong attention to detail, comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• MS Office skills and familiarity with Health and Safety Software and Information Systems.
• Health and Safety Certification, or progress towards Certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and a change management, analytics mindset, and ability to think critically and identify trends.
• Proficient use of MS Excel and other data visualization tools, and an ability to interpret data and work with reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Intelex Power User for the JDI Saint John Operations
• Owner of the Health and Safety Dashboard and other daily management dashboards, including the WCB Rate dashboard
• Produce the Period Health and Safety KPIs for the JDI Senior Safety leads and report out to the Senior Safety leads
• Update the Annual Corporate Safety Governance Report and annual Environmental Sustainability Governance (ESG) Reporting
• Own Data Quality and transparency for Health and Safety key performance indicators.
• Participate in Health & Safety Technology Steering Committee for insight and awareness of the software, systems and projects and provide input on technology projects, new software solutions, and user experience.
• Provide guidance to the head office Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC), and act as the committee secretary
• Responsible for Safety Training Compliance for Corporate Services groups
• Oracle (HCM Learning) Specialist \xe2\x80\x93 Assign health and safety and regulatory training and manage training records in the Learning Management System
• Manage workplace monthly inspection program for the Corporate Services Division
