About the Role





This a critical role within LNG Canada delivering consultation and stakeholder engagement to ensure compliance and community and stakeholder understanding during operations. This includes communicating operational changes, permitting, local content, managing community feedback, and representing Corporate Relations within the Operations team.



In addition, this role will work to ensure regulatory obligations and agreements are built into operational plans and that stakeholders are considered throughout the planning.



As a member of the Asset Leadership team, this role will oversee Corporate Relations input into the Integrated Activity Plan to ensure stakeholder concerns are considered and that LNG Canada is positioned for a strong start up and a legacy of operational excellence, safety, and community stewardship.

You will use your expertise to:



Accountable for the response and engagement on issues management, including noise, flaring, air, health, general Accountable for managing the Community Feedback Mechanism and for responding to and communicating feedback received to the wider business. Be a key member of the Asset Leadership Team, accountable for Corporate Relations representation and delivery Working with the Social Performance Lead, establish and chair internal governance committees for local content with cross-functional and business representation Accountable for delivery of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan and for Community Engagement and Consultation, to ensure stakeholder commitments are met and expectations are managed To collaborate with Human resources, Operations and Contracting & Procurement to develop plans, training and targets to maximize local content including local hiring and local contracting and procurement in operations. Ensure robust consultation strategies are executed to support Regulatory, Environment and Permitting teams for all operational permitting consultation requirements Execute on your deep working expertise of British Columbian and Federal public and Indigenous consultation requirements Manage the overall integration within LNG Canada of mitigation and adaptive management required during consultation process Be a contributing member of Corporate Relations team willing to jump in and lead team initiatives



To be successful, you will have:



A graduate degree or undergraduate degree Indigenous/community/public relations, business development, or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 10-15 years related experience related to Indigenous Relations, stakeholder engagement with a strong preference for direct BC experience Demonstrated project management experience Possess several years of experience leading and coaching small diverse team, comprising both entry-level and seasoned independent contributors. Proven track record of maximizing team performance and individual potential Experience working in heavy, oil and gas, Industrial manufacturing industry Proven experience developing and executing Indigenous and non-Indigenous regulatory consultation strategies in highly regulated environments. Direct BC experience is preferred. Experience working in a large-scale, fast-paced environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders Proven experience in Non-Technical Risk integration in complex projects Demonstrated project implementation and management skills Mastery integration and collaboration skill Highly adept at-risk management including risk communication Demonstrated leadership and management skills and experience Superior written and verbal communications skills Significant resilience and demonstrated conflict resolution skills Experience managing and responding to issues and crisis as part of an integrated team Self-driven, outcome-focused, strong analytical and conceptual skills.

This role requires that you:




Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
