The role ensures that The City's new performance measurement framework moves beyond design into practice by embedding it in operations, decision-making, and accountability processes at all levels of the organization. Primary Duties include:
Lead the corporate-wide application of The City's performance measurement framework by ensuring consistent adoption across departments and services. Provide strategic guidance, capacity-building, and support so performance information is integrated into decision-making and reporting across the organization.
Foster a culture of accountability and evidence-based decision-making by influencing behavior change, building trust, and coaching champions across the organization. Embed performance practices into day-to-day operations, leadership routines, and corporate planning cycles.
Translate performance data and benchmarking outputs into clear, concise and meaningful evidence to support decision-making. Work with other contributors such as Corporate Strategy, Risk Management, Business Planning, Finance, and Service Excellence teams to prepare and embed decision-ready insights that enable senior leaders and Council to turn evidence into direction, commitments, and transparent reporting.
Design and embed organizational performance best practices and supporting materials that enable contributors and senior leaders to engage in aligned discussions on measurement, outcomes, and priorities.
Elevate lessons from benchmarking, peer comparisons, and leading practices to identify systemic corporate performance gaps and improvement opportunities. Use these insights to influence corporate and Council priorities, guide cultural adoption of evidence-based practices, and strengthen accountability to senior leaders, Council, and Calgarians.
