Corporate Paralegal

. Corporate paralegals assist lawyers in all stages of corporate transactions and with the preparation of documents necessary to comply with regulations in the conduct of business activities.

Responsibilities

Prepare documents required to form Manitoba and Federal corporations, professional corporations and limited partnerships. Prepare documents required to amend, revise, amalgamate, dissolve and continue corporations. Prepare documentation for extra-provincial registrations. Prepare documents required to register business names. Create and maintain corporate minute books. Assist in the preparation and closing of various corporate transactions. Update corporate databases.

Core Competencies

Sound judgement and strong problem-solving ability. Strong computer and organizational skills. Eager to work in a fast-paced environment. Prioritize competing deadlines and complete complex assignments with minimal supervision. Exercise critical thinking with attention to detail and consistently produce high-quality work. Required to sit and stand for long periods of time. Occasionally required to bend and lift up to ten pounds.
