Our client is quickly becoming one of the busiest Real Estate law firms in the lower mainland, and they are looking for a Corporate Paralegal to join their team. If you have experience in Corporate law we need YOU!

ABOUT THE FIRM

Our client is a newly established law firm, but quickly becoming one of the busiest and fastest growing Real Estate firms in Vancouver.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a chance for someone with Corporate experience to join the team of a growing and busy practice.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Maintaining approx. 200+ minute books
• Annual maintenance
• Drafting legal documentation including, but not limited to incorporations, changes of principals, share transactions, annual maintenance, continuances, amendments and dissolutions for British Columbia and Federal corporations
• Attending to matters related to extra-provincial registrations, including coordination with extra-provincial agents, completion of extra-provincial registrations and renewals, business name registrations and partnership registrations
• Completing due diligence search requests
• Maintaining and reviewing corporate records and database
• Researching legal concepts and procedures in response to enquiries
• Interfacing with lawyers and clients directly.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Paralegal Cert preferred but experience is more important
• 5-10 years experience in Corporate
• Ideally big firm experience
• Proficient with MSOffice, Outlook
• Proficient with ALF
• Vaccination policy in place

COMPENSATION

• $70,000 - $90,000 DOE, top of market for right person, could go higher
• 3 Months probation until Benefits kick in : Basic Health & Dental covered 100%
• Short term, long term disability, AD&D, Life insurance, Dental,
• Medical Yes, although we self-insure/administer short term disability. LTD is deducted. AD&D and life insurance are taxable benefits
• RRSP - Matching contributions start at 2% after 2 years, 4% after 5 years and 6.5% after 10 years.
• $750 spending account per year for health spending, which can roll over to next year.
• $500 annual fitness subsidy.
• Personal days 10 days comprised of 5 sick days and 5 personal days.
• Vacation - 3 weeks (negotiable)
