Position Summary

DLO Move Support Services is seeking a Move Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate and office relocation projects. The role is responsible for crew leadership, resource scheduling, client communications, safety compliance, and operational reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

????o?????Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate daily operations for commercial relocations.

????o?????Conduct site visits; scope job requirements; prepare detailed move plans, timelines, and site-specific checklists.

????o?????Lead 1-20 person crews, responding to real-time operational changes (sick calls, changing site conditions, etc.).

????o?????Coordinate trucks, tools, and moving equipment to optimize utilization and productivity.

????o?????Oversee the safe use of hand tools and power tools required for furniture disassembly, installation, and complex office equipment handling.

????o?????Serve as the primary client contact to confirm scope, provide packing guidance, align timelines, and resolve on-site challenges.

????o?????Track hours, productivity, and project progress; prepare operational and financial reports for management.

????o?????Provide training and coaching to crew members on proper use of tools, safety procedures, and customer service.

????o?????Support budgeting, job costing, and variance review to meet financial targets and service quality standards.

Qualifications

????o?????Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and significant industry experience.

????o?????5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, moving, facilities services, or related operations, including direct crew supervision.

????o?????Demonstrated experience planning multi-site or multi-phase corporate moves, including site assessments and checklist development.

????o?????Strong skills in workforce scheduling, problem-solving under time pressure, and client-facing communication.

????o?????Expertise in the use of moving-related tools and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, dollies, lifts, and furniture systems tools).

????o?????Working knowledge of OHS practices and safe-work procedures.

????o?????Proficiency with office and scheduling software (e.g., Google Workspace/Microsoft Office; workforce scheduling/time-keeping tools).

????o?????Valid BC driver's licence preferred.
